The HR Congress recently spoke with Adam Gibson, the Director of Strategic Workforce Planning at Capita, and creator of what he terms the Agile Workforce Planning methodology.
Having successfully implemented and transformed workforce planning and people analytics in both the public and private sectors, Adam advises executives in creating a sustainable workforce that increases productivity and reduces costs. Adam has previously held senior workforce planning positions at the London Metropolitan Police, and at PwC.
The modern pressure on organizations to compete has forced a re-organisation of how workforce planning takes place. Disruption based on technological advances, societal changes, and the transformation of work represents a level of unpredictability where talent and workforce needs become highly contingent. Adam suggests that it’s no longer simply enough to plan and set strategies in place with an exacting eye – it’s high time to build anti-fragility into your workforce planning to cope with the needs you can’t always see coming.
Adam will present a session in the High Performance HR track entitled Revolutionising Workforce Planning to Achieve Your Business Goals. Make sure you don’t miss out on his session if you are interested in learning more about agile workforce planning and its implications for business success, resilience, and continuity!
The 4th HR Congress Nice, November 19-20 will feature a selection of sessions that will explore this topic and much more! Follow the HR Congress Blog for more interesting ideas and content from around the world of work!
