The HR Congress recently recorded a short interview with Max Hunter, Chief Joy Officer at Loylogic and Founder at Max Hunter & Partners. Max is dedicated to creating a workplace environment where intrinsically motivated employees drive company success. He is also a professional coach and facilitator who helps organizations to create high performing teams and individuals.
For a subject that appears to have a commonly associated range of positive adjectives such as; happiness, joy, motivation, and belonging – it’s unsurprising to know that creating a great business environment also has an analogous dark side. As our conversation explored creating the ground-work for employee and business success, a couple of things became apparent. Firstly, the Chief Joy Officer’s role is that of a fine balancing act – dancing between cheerleading and delivering reality-checks – and secondly, it’s the simple things that often make the biggest differences – showing appreciation, valuing honesty, and being a trusted guide for your team through difficult times.
